I am so stoked for the Outback Motortek skid plate for my KTM 390 Adventure. What is the widest tire for KTM 390 Adventure without changing wheels?
I run a 110 in the front and a 150 In the rear without issues

I have a new Honda Transalp that came with Karoo Street tires, they are a great tire in many ways but they are so loud on the highway that it ruins the ride for me. Only 2K on them and I'm looking to replace them. Sorry, worst tires for what I do.

How does this vent compared to the Baja s4 for hot weather while moving? I have noticed a little difference from the mesh vs vent jackets where they almost force the air into the jacket

Almost a perfect tyre. Just needs dual compound construction to create a harder spine. Having used the TKC70 Rocks tyre, Kyle's review on this tyre is spot on. He is the foremost authority on ADV tyres.

Yes Sir! Huge fan of Motoz since I first ran them in 2010 on my 950. High initial investment, but they pay for themselves with longevity.
Hi Kyle, how does the rear wear compare to the rally str? Considering rally str, trailmax mission, or the tkc 70 rocks/mission combo. I don't mind the quicker wear if the performance, especially in twisties, is better. The rally strs seem a little too soft. Ride a Multistrada v4s, and dont want to give up to much pavement performance, but i need a little bit more off road grip for moto camping/forest service roads.
This sounds like you will love the TKC70 Rocks. Stay away from the mission... if you want a Dunlop try the TrailMax Raid.

which one are you keeping ?
The bike went back to Suzuki... I like the LOW version the best. For touring though... that tall screen was nice!
Is there any downward pressure pulling it down ? i can see it slots into a dowel at the end and the thumb screw end seams to just latch across ? surly the magnet cannot be that strong holding it down ? i dont understand how it wont just suck air in around the bottom when it sits on the base plate ?
There are ridges and the filter material is about 1/2 thick all around the base plate. The magnet is pretty strong... that locates it and then there is pressure that is needed to push down so the flipper latch at the end can engage. I'll pull it off so you can see the Indention in the foam / the amount of seal it has.
@manybikes epically under hard throttle when it's breathing deep, I can't help but think it would suck dirt around the bottom..

Love the Raid tires except for the front end slip... but they are comfortable on the highway, they do well in the dirt and I have 6800 miles on them!

You shut the front tire on the 390 but what about the back tire for the back tire you went straight over to another bike that could handle heavy retire. I am interested to know what you have on the back of your 390?

Why does Motoz call it RallZ? Why do you call it Rally? Is it the same tire? Is it the same tire as the Adventure?
TomAteo Tomato... The RallZ is called Rally by Motoz. Just like their name... Motoz is pronounced MotAz in Aus and here many call them MotoZee ... Same Same The RallZ is much different than the Adventure, it is about 15% more aggressive in the dirt than the Adv and the Adv gets on average 2k more miles than the RallZ Both are Tractionators... as are the GPS and Desert HT. Great job. Mine is crf300rally. 30% street, 50% gravel, 20% hard sand. I use the bike for touring and sightseeing off the beaten tracks. I am a tourist, not competitor. The bike is originally equipped with rather aggressive knobs that are wearing down. Your tires seem more for the big advs. what is your suggestion for my bike ?

Thanks for the informative videos. Would you match the TKC70 Rocks rear with a Motoz dualventure front on a F800GSA? Doing 50/50 asphalt and gravel/chip seal dirt roads. Any issues running a 140/80-17 vs the standard 150/70-17 rear? Mainly due to lack of stock in my area.
Thanks for reaching out. Yes, you can run the Dual Venture with the TKC 70 Rocks. That is very similar to running a TKC80 up front, which I did for quite some time. Your F800GSA really needs the stability of the 150. The 140 can be mounted, but it will make the tread pattern very flat, it will turn like a truck and ... it being a stretched narrow tire, I have seen them wear very very quickly.

How do these compare to Anakee Wilds in the twisties?
I think they are a little more planted than the Anakee Wilds which move like riding on a cloud

The Dual Venture. I have been getting 10k to 12k out of them. As soon as I see trailing edge wear, I flip them! In 500 miles they are like NEW tires. Great tires.
Is this helmet cold on early mornings?

The Mission and the Rocks are similar... but the Rocks is WAY softer and will wear out in 1/2 the time. The Rocks is lighter and gives more feedback from the road.
